Which BFGoodrich Drag Radial?
Comp T/A Drag Radial
or
G-Force T/A Drag Radial
These won't be daily driven.. They'll be mounted on spare set of rims that I have and only used at the track? Which would you go with? The price for each tire is the same?
Thanks

I don't think that either one of those is truly a drag radial. The BFG drag radial has a big practically slick patch in the middle.........I think.........
On second thought you might have it there with the first one, the Comp TA
On third thought, and upon fully realizing your question, I would vote with guy below me and tell you to pick up a pair of MT ET streets. I would not bother with radials if they are a track only tire. Even the ET streets could be driven on the street in fair weather if you had/wanted to.

I just bought a set of the comp TA drag radials, and I still cannot get them to hook on the street. I would recomend, if you are using a spare set of rims, going with the ET streets. I still have to experiment with tire pressure, different launches, etc, but after heating them up on the street a 2500 launch = massive wheelspin. At the track they did OK but I think they can be better. Just my .02 C.

I haven't had any experience with the g-FORCE DR but I had the comp ta's. I was pulling consistent 1.8xxs with them with the mods in my sig. You have to heat them up, and I started mine at 17 psi and worked my way down to 15 usually. I just finished up a pair of these tires and now I am waiting on the new MT drag radial. I hear it is supposed to be a bad *** tire.

I know you guys say go with MT ET Streets, but I still have the stock 10 bolt..
These tires are inexpensive, and I'm sure they'll cut alot off of my 2.1-2.2 60' times..

I just bought mine from Tire rack 6 weeks ago, and the first pic he posted was the ones that I got. I thin the bald middle stipe ones are the old ones, my buddy had these 3 years ago. I don't know for sure but mine do not hook for ****, and I heat them up pretty good first.

From what I've read, BFGs are a step above Nittos...But Nittos are definately more streetable...
You dont wanna get caught in the rain with BFGs....Just pay attention to the tread pattern of the Comp T/A vs. the Nitto 555R....The middle of the Comp T/A has no tread lines....Nittos look like sort of like slanted squares.....

I have the BFG's and can vouch for their traction. My car isn't the most powerful beast, but I pulled a 1.82 60' and will probably do better next time around. I've even been able to get them to hook with almost no wheel spin on the street on a sticky road with heating them up a bit. I actually just drove them on the highway in the rain for the first time 2 days ago. And they DID hydroplane, but they are worn down to the tread indicator now. Cruising around town in the rain they are fine, but you don't want to go over about 50 mph with them. Again keep in mind mine are pretty warn. I really like them and recommend them if you don't wanna push your rear too hard with ET streets or real slicks.

i have the g force drags,i will tell you they hook like mothers, cant say how long they will last though. All i know is when i punch it from a dead stop with my 3.73's i get NO spin..sure that'll change when i get my stall done... for just a track tire that your not driving on the street..get them
