Default LM7 buying advices

I know, my question may sounds a little dumb!

I'm planning on an LM7 swap for my 72 Monte Carlo.
It will be a budget swap, because shipping cost and taxes are killing my wallet .

I'm watching on car-part.com for LM7 and sometimes I find low mileage motor for $500 or $700 which seems ok. My question is, can I find a better deal?

Also, buying without seeing and being able to check the motor is a bit scary.
Any recommendations?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
