Pinion angle

Pinion angle
Doing a 2007 a classic 5.3/4L60E swap into my 1948 Chevy pickup. Engine/ transmission down angle measured at 4 degrees down with full weight on suspension. Is 4 degrees up on on pinion angle acceptable?

I think that's pretty high, and you need to look at both
ends (driveline angle is the difference between pinion
angle and tailshaft angle). The latter needs to be near
(ideally, at) zero under power (where, especially on a
leaf spring suspension, things will wind up a fair bit
unless you're doing some work there).
