First post, hope this is the right area to put it.

Looking to do a smog legal LS swap into a my 4runner. In order for it to be legal I have to have all of the smog/emission/evap equipment from the donor intact and installed on the 4runner.

My question is, is/was there a donor vehicle that GM made that had a 5.3 (or even a 4.8) that did not include the secondary air injection, smog pump setup?

2002-up 1500 Silverado did not have any of that.

Air injection was a CA 50 state emissions thing 99-01 Silverado.
They did have a 49 state federal version sold outside of CA without air injection.

EGR was standard on Federal and CA versions 99-01.

So a non CA 2002-2007 1500 donor would not have EGR and air injection to deal with? If so thats awesome and now I can focus on evap fun now.
