?Question?
I'm on the highway and punch it at 65mph. The rpm sky rocked as usual, but after a second they go down really quick. Seems as though it is abnormal shifting at times. Other times the car will seem a lot smoother. Is this normal? Also, after reading about MAF posts, I'm deffinately taking off my SLP MAF.

Mine does the same thing...it all depends on what speed your at when the trans shifts...You said that you are going to take off your SLP MAF? Why? Wanna sell it? PM me if interested.

Was the PCM recalibrated for the new MAF? If not, your tranny many not be shifting properly. Line pressure may be being altered by the PCM due to the non-stock readings from the MAF.

sounds to me that you are hitting the point between gears and your trans is having a tuff time selecting which one,but eventually goes one higher...
i am no expert at the a4's so either its strying to go to first but durring the shifting action the mph go high enough to force it to second(hence the rpm drop. )
you can help the sloppy shifting by adding a shift kit(if you dont have one) the car will shift much faster...
hope that helps.... i would try this b4 i sold the maf
