New cam or other mods
So I have an 02 SS completely stock an I'm looking to put a new cam in it. It's my daily and work is only about 2 miles. I'm looking for a decent muscle idle an fair power increase. Or should I look at upgrading the heads first or spring, rods an rockers?

A better starting point would be.....
*Full exhaust upgrade. (Headers,y-pipe, catback) or just True duals.
*Ftp or slp lid
*3200-3600 stall (If it's an A4)
But to answer your question regarding heads/cam, I would purchase the best flowing heads you can afford. Have a new cam matched to those heads.

Putting an aftermarket cam on a bone stock car is a huge waste of time, as the highly restrictive stock exhaust will choke the hell out of it. And if you are an auto the stock stall will have you leaving ALOT of speed on the table. You would be significantly quicker with bolt ons and a stall than you would be with just a cam and everything else stock.

I would do.....long tube headers,Y pipe or true duals, intake lid of some kind, mail in tune. Ride that around for a while and have some fun. then do your heads n cam then a real tune. You should be near where you're wanting to go. That's what I'm doing. It's a little easier on the wallet and a lot more fun
