Do I really need the EGR? I'm building my engine from scratch- piece by piece, and am wondering if I can get away with not having the EGR, and if so... what would I need to do to fix any timing or other wierd problems that would come of it.

you select "disable egr" on your hptuners, and it will run fine, the 01-02 cars don' get it from the factory.
egr has its own tables for the timing it adds. so disabling it, is no big deal to my knowledge
