High compression boost So I'm new to the forum not the LS world. I need some advice because I'm stuck! I just built a forged 415 stroker with ls3 gm performance CNC heads a BTR 400+cube n/a cam. Stock ls3 intake fast 92 mm throttle body. My compression is 11.2 and on pump gas here in AZ I'm only getting 475 to the wheels through a built 4l60 with a circle d billet triple disc lock up converter with a 3000 stall speed and a Ford 9-inch with 3.55 gears. It's quick but I need more. Could I run a turbo kit with low boost like 6#'s and a meth kit or am I stretching. I've kicked the nitrous idea around but having to fill bottles seams like a pain. Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

6# is not much boost. I would say if you have no detonation now adding 6# and meth on pump should be fine providing tune is good. But if you have E85 available the gains will be greater and safer. Good chance it wont take long before you will want to turn it up from 6# anyway.

E85 is getting very hard to find. Most stations that carried it have stopped out here. There is still a few but I believe it's now E54 or something. Thoughts on mixing 100 octane fuel with 91? Another big question I have is does number of 475/475 @ the wheels seam week for a 415 stroker. It does have a fairly large cam 239/254 .624"/.595" 114+3. For the most part it's a street strip car. It's a 1998 SS Camaro

e54 may provide the safety margin your looking for without taxing your fuel system as much as e85 does - e85 needs 30-40% more fuel delivery capacity (stoich is high 9's vs. mid 14's afr on gasoline scale).
I did some tuning on a friends 3800/sc rock crawler and he is mixing 25% e85 to 75% pump premium to allow smaller pulley and more timing on stock injectors , for him it allowed the extra octane to make the power he needed with no components to buy other than a used $35 pulley and an hour or so of wideband afr tuning which cost him a few beers and some ripping around in his rock crawler lol. An added benefit to higher concentration ethanol fuels beyond octane is the added charge cooling it provides , in his case non intercooled roots type sc really responds to a little added ethanol.
his buddys crawler with same trans, same rear gear, same chassis but stock LQ4 gets dusted out of the hole by this 3800sc crawler.

the closest e85 pump for us here in Maine is 2 states away in Mass. you can get e85 or e98 by the drum as well or you could do something like a pickup truck job site tank/pump the type you see where a bed tool box goes up against the cab and make your own e85 fueling station if you also have a pickup truck...
