Default Optima battery correct installation ?

Hi everyone,

OK I know it sounds silly but here is my minor "issue" : I bought a few months ago an Optima battery to replace my older conventional battery.
A few days ago, I noticed that the Optima won't hold in place.
Let me explain : the little metal part that you screw at the bottom of the battery won't "grab" and hold the battery and furthermore that said battery is slightly moving when you push it which makes me think it will move asides while hard cornering ... I found out that the lip at the bottom of the Optima is not wide enough for the metal part to grab it and it will snap out overtime you screw that metal holder. See what I mean ?

Do you have any idea how I can make it hold steady ?

There are aftermarket battery tie downs available. They are also necessary for certain race tracks to pass safety inspection. I have used them before but I don't know which brands they were. Hopefully someone can help you find a pretty good one.

Actually just ordered a new battery tray for $30, really thought it was more expansive. Hopefully the new tray won't brake like the stock one lol

I was just going to mention look into getting a new battery tray that could securely hold down the battery. Good luck, hope the new one works out.
