How often should I change my O2's?

How often should I change my O2's? Just like the topic says, is there a milage interval I should change them at to keep the car in good tune, or are they items that you run until they totally crap out and set a SES code?
Right now I am at 50,000 miles and have changed everything else under the hood that needed changing at this milage, but I can't find anything that mentions changing the O2 sensors.
