Which spark plugs should I use
I have most all the bolt ons plus heads and cam, what spark plugs should I use. I just got her running tonight after being apart since I bought it in January. It was a little rough at first but she's starting to clear up now and run a little smoother. Right now I have autolite 104's in it but I wasn't sure if I should be using platinums or not? Anyone have any suggestions?

I just bought some of these for a total of $13. With how expensive everthing else is with these cars i expected to have to buy the ones that are $12 a plug.
I heard the stock wires would be good. Do u guys change thiese also?

I put in some autolite platinum plugs that autozone said were the ones to use, but i think the car runs rougher and not as strong after i replaced them. I have only had the car dfor like a month, and my friend and I wen all through it, but it had original wires and plugs on it at 63000 miles. I am thinking about going with the ngk's instead since all i have read about them is good. Should i consider changing the wires as well? My mechanic friend said the wires look good still, but he has kida old school knowledge if you know what i mean, not that i dont trust him i just want a second opinon.

Are they good for a real long time or something? At what point is time to replace them. Has anyone else had real bad luck with the autolites? Yes I have searched. this was the best thread.

In my opinion stock wires are crap (Packards @500 ohms per foot), my $65 MSD 8.5 super conductor wires are 40 ohms per foot & allow for alot more current to pass. More current means better spark which means more fuel taken care of (More power made). JMO-Fred

I know this sounds stupid, but in one of my parts mags GM performance parts wires claim 600 ohms. Now is that worse than the 500? I am a "learning mechanic" so cut me some slack Ohms are electrical resistance, so the lower the ohms the easier the currnet moves through the wires to the plugs etc?
