Default Rotation noise when accelerating

I’ve had my 2001 Trans Am Ws6 now for a couple months and I’m starting to hear rotation like noise when accelerating in the front end. When I’m at a constant speed the noise goes away but when I shift gears and accelerate it comes back. Some have suggested that is a wheel bearing but I don’t think that’s the case. Any ideas?

Sounds more like it's coming from the driveline. Bad wheel bearings will often manifest by a grinding sound at a slight turn one way or the other at speed. I can't think of a front end problem that would cause rotational noise under acceleration only.

Oftentimes the origin of a rotational noise can be deceiving. It can sound like it's coming from somewhere when it's actually coming from another location.

The wheel bearings are sealed units that hardly ever go bad in normal driving conditions. Keep trying to localize the sound. You mentioned shifting, maybe clutch or drive line related.

Transmission mount loose? Bad U-joint? Bad idler pulley bearing?
