Oil leak from hell
Hello, newbie here with a major pain in the rear main seal. So here's what I built. A lq9 with malhe posting, just above stock cnc ported heads with over sized titanium valves .600 dual springs Texas speed v4 cam up graded rocker arms typhoons 102mm intake headers and some n20. Ok now for the problems I have replaced 3 rear main seals only to have them still leak I think.. and when I say leak I mean leak from hell. Drip drip drip drip drip puddle all night too. So I did the whole alignment tool to make sure that the seal was put in properly I am just now pulled my intake so I can pull my cam sensor and replace the O-ring there but I have yet to read anything from anybody with a leak like mine. I'm sure everyone's going to tell me to check here and check there which I have oil pan rear main seal cover didn't change the barbell though oil cooler block off plate flexplate bolts all have been checked seems to be dripping all over from everywhere when I get on it it just Barrel smoke out the back. Please I need help I don't want to pull my transmission anymore. Also it's all over the starter all over everything underneath I checked the dipstick tube all that I just cannot figure out how so much oil could just dump out the back though I do have massive crankcase pressure which I'm venting through my LS6 Valley cover into a oil can then back into the manifold and for the valve covers driver side is connected with the passenger side into an oil can back into the throttle body please I need help thank you
How is the engine running? Any misfiring? Massive crankcase pressure is the likely cause of oil overwhelming your seals. You need to determine if the high crankcase pressure is being caused by a bad PCV valve or PCV vent system or if combustion gases are getting from the cylinder(s) to the crankcase. There’s no point in replacing any more seals until you figure out your crankcase pressure issue.
