I apologize for doing so, wasn't my initial intention. I've made a thread before and tried to resurrect others about my Service Vehicle light issue and received no answers. Just figured since we were on the topic I'd ask a couple of questions about what may cause the Service Vehicle light to activate so I can track things down. Again I apologize.

There's a site floating around that lets you download the service manuals in pdf form. I'm pretty sure I saw a diagnostic chart in there that could help you rule out different things. I remember reading that pulling the dummy bulb for the air bag can trigger a service light. I'm sure there's a handful of other odd things like that that trigger these lights.
