Default Ls1 bleeding water out directly once i off the engine

Dear all hi

I had 2000 transam ws6 lately i drove it home normaly..
Once i parked i shutt off the engine and get out from the car ... i found that the coolant water runing on asphalt..i opened the hood to find that the water is bleeding out from the coolent plastic drum..( i checked both hoses and no pressure in it at all ..which is good i think )

The after market digital temparature gauge was pointing to 215 f to 220 f..and the stock gauges pointing on middle ( 210 )..

The big question.... is the temparature normal? And if its normal why the water sneeking and bleeding out from the plastic drum along with a little bubbling sound ...!!!

Is there any serious problem on the engine? Plz advice

Default New news

I figured out the bleeding problem and it was a bad radiator cap..so leaking is dead

But i notice that the temparature reaching to 239 f when i stop on signal but when i drive it goes to 210 and all this reading on my digital gauges..the standard gauges freez on 210 f right on middle..
Is this normal or i have to drop the temparature down.??

Did you properly fill and bleed the airbubbles out of the car? Fill 50/50 distilled water and anti-freeze (dex-cool if you haven't completely swapped to regular) and then run the system with the cap open until the bubbles stop. (And make sure it has enough time to open up the thermostat.) That's how I do it, anyway.

But anyways, I think 239F might be a little high. I run at about 208-220F in the blazing heat of Florida. I'm not an expert though, but 239F would be enough for me to at least check the airbubbles.

^ This. 240 is way too hot IMO, and with the recent leak I'd put money on air bubbles in the system. Run it with the rad cap off and the heater on full blast and keep topping off the rad until it won't take any more. Top off the overflow too once you're done.

Thanks a lot
Peoblem solved
As u advice i did open the radiator cab on a cold engine
And a aded coolant on a running status for almost 5 minuts..and noticed that bubbles sneeking out until no air in thes system..now the temparature gauge pointing all the time on the middle even in a very hoty day (108 f)
Thanks again for advice..
