Got my pressure gauge in today. Kinda cold and too late to rig up a camera so I just tested at idle in the driveway. Right at 61psi. Going to try a wot test tomorrow and watch for it to drop.

I installed an Aeromotive liquid filled gauge one the OEM style rail. My engine is an LSX 427 fueled by a Walbro 450 in the tank and I installed a C5 fuel filter regulator in the stock location on my car. I may very well have a fueling issue then because my gauge reads about 62 psi and holds steady but under WOT I've seen the pressure fall below 60 psi. I'm considering purchasing an Aeromotive FPR and mounting it closer to the engine and just running a longer return or doing away with the OE style rail altogether.

Tried out a wot run and another attempt to spin tires. Which happens a little just no wheel speed and it bogs down. It seems to idle around 60-61. I couldn't tell it dropped below 55psi under either condition.

Working on posting to YouTube now.

The first vide is WOT 1-2. The 2nd is tryingto break traction.

On your first pull you can clearly see it dropped to almost 50 psi.

I can't see the videos right now, but if that's what it shows then the OP is looking at a drop of 10-11psi under load (based on the 60-61psi reading mentioned at idle). Even if the gauge isn't perfectly calibrated and the actual numbers aren't 100% accurate, that amount of loss under load (~10psi) is unacceptable IMO. So I would suspect any missing power is the result of a fuel delivery issue.

The pressure drops from 60 to 55 and then for about 2 seconds drops down to about 52 or so and then comes back. It's definitely not at full health, but it's probably not something you'd ever notice if you were just driving around town.

What's the best way to fix? Buying a new stock unit? Plans are just bolt on and suspension work.

I need to try this lol. Maybe with a go pro or something. My mechanical gauge on the rail is fluctuating between 50-62 just at idle while my internal electrical gauge is showing 52 psi steady. Perhaps the sending unit is bad but I need to see what the mechanical gauge is doing under load. My electrical gauge used to read 58 psi.

That answer depends on your long term future plans. If you suspect it's just the pump, racetronix makes a nice drop in replacement. It's a pretty easy install if you cut an access panel above the fuel tank which is a very common mod. Lots of write ups on this site for that. I only cut mine on 3 sides so that I can bend it back into place and then I used HVAC tape to seal it up. Easy to pull the tape off and reseal.

Making progress. Still low rpm. Seem to be about 2200 until I let off the brakes.

That's exactly what I did. I couldn't get the old pump out of the rubber sleeve/holder thingy, so I ended up replacing the entire assembly. It's was very easy once I got the metal lock ring off. That lock ring is a bitch.
