Default Worse off with a BBK?

So I'm an idiot and decided to dress up/improve my engine with a MTI lid and bbk tb. After doing the reseach i should have done BEFORE i bought the tb, I am wondering if i will be worse off with a BBK as opposed to a ported unit. Negating price, am I as good or slightly better off with the BBK?? I would return it and opt for a nice Jantzer TB, but i bent one of the coolant tubes messing around with it . I am by no means a mechanic, but I am trying to learn with this car. My future mod plans are: 1.) trans go 2.) jet hot LT 3.) borla cat back 4.) LSX intake 5.) CAM, maybe heads. All of this over a period of maybe a year, year and a half. Any toughts??

The tb is fine for a stroker or a highly modified heads/cam car. I have a Jantzer ported tb if you want to make a swap or something. my email is racrx02@msn.com

Also, headers and a good exhaust and a ftra kit would be a next good round of mods for you. Also, a torque converter would give you the most performance right now, there amaizing for an automatic!!!!

racrx: Are you in california? Is the Jantzer colored or polished? My BBK is still new in box, sitting in my garage. I would condider trading if the BBK is WORSE for me than a ported one. I already have it, no going back. -------> So will I be sitting just the same with my overpriced BBK or better off with a ported unit??
