Default Junk yard LS with LSA

I'm looking at a few motors for my LSA build. An LQ4, LQ9, and an LY6 off of eBay as dropouts. They all have about 140k on them. Part of me is skeptical about using this and just saying to buy a new short block. In general how long will these LS motors with 140k stand up to boost? It's going into an 85 c10 pickup and used in the capacity of a daily driver so I won't be beating the hell out of it but I also don't want to be worried to drive it out of state.

Mine had about 150k on it when purchased and I've added about 4000 miles to it. I knew my seller and trusted him. What I've seen in that 4000 miles was it has needed a new camshaft sensor and four new injectors with the possibility of the other four needing replacement soon. It had good cranking oil pressure and compression. With good care, I think my engine can easily reach 200,000 miles or more.

Its tough buying an engine sight unseen. Ask a lot of questions of the seller. Will you also get its matching PCM?

Your '85 C10 pickup's gonna have some swag with that setup. Not beating the life out of it, but still hitting the road out of state – I'm vibing with that. Just make sure those motors are checked out before you commit. Oh, and while we're on the topic of getting things sorted, ever thought about how to get money for a junk car https://citybreakscle.com/how-to-get...or-a-junk-car/? It's a slick move if you're looking to let go of an old ride. Anyway, keep that LSA dream alive and ride on, my friend!

How long it will last is a function of how you use and take care of it.
