Default 4.8 vs 5.3 vs 6.0 vs 6.2 vs 7.0

Which is the best with everything built and with stock block on boost in regards to turbocharged? For drag racing and for dyno.

From a physics standpoint, the 4.8.

"Best"? You said built but stock block, then I would choose the largest displacement engine you have access to. For crying out load! These engines stock bottom end plus some ring gap are making over 1000hp!!! If you ad "built" parts you're talking crazy numbers that live a long time nothing wrong with the 4.8l , but if you are looking for big power the larger engines will make more power and torque with less boost.

This drives me insane. Stop worrying about going through so much extra effort just to run 3 less PSI.
People get so caught up with running "less boost" that they literally cannot give an accurate explanation as to why.

The limit to the stock blocks is the 4-bolts per cylinder. A 4.8 will stress those fasteners less, and stress the block less.
Maximum power potential goes to the 4.8 when it comes to a stock block.
It has repeatedly been the 4.8 and 5.3s setting quarter mile records with stock bottom ends.
The last ~8 or so SBE records have been 4.8 or 5.3.
The quickest stock block hydraulic roller setup ever is a 5.3.

Never at any point has this been a 6.2 or 7.0 in any form, and I'm pretty sure that stock 4.8/5.3s have been quickest/faster than forged 6.2/7.0s.

From a physics standpoint, the 4.8 has all of the advantages.

Quick Reply: 4.8 vs 5.3 vs 6.0 vs 6.2 vs 7.0
