Default What next?




So I've owned this for a week now. What should be next on my list for performance mods?
I'm planning on 3:73s to replace the 2:73s and am going to change the interior as well.

I'd go to a yank SS 3600 or ss4000 . And yep 3:73 would give a nice (seat ove pants) gains. That (3000 converter) prolly ain't doing you any favors...

I agree, I would have the converter restalled to ss4000 or pt4000.

I was under impression 3k stall was decent for a daily?

LS loves a high stall, definitely dont go any lower then a 3600-3800.

The 3000 stall is plenty for a daily driver. If you plan on drag racing, then definitely go higher. Traction is probably already an issue for you, and a higher stall will just make it worse. I recommend getting some Nitto 555r tires for the rear wheels. That will help some. Just keep some good all-season tires on the front for the rainy days.

The next engine mod I recommend, is the heads. Get some ported 243's or TrickFlow heads to help that cam do it's job.

The next thing on your performance list should be a higher stall. It will drive amazing with 3.73's and a 4000 + stall.
3000 is to small for your setup, especially if you are looking for performance gains.
