Default Help silverado!!

I bought a 99 silverado single cab & previous owner has installed a 6.0 off a 03 suburban & the trans is a 4l80e, posi rear end.
Okay, now when i accelerate fully ( pedal on the floor) . The truck will accelerate but for some reason it dont seem like its not giving all in. Rpm dont rise as high compared to my 5.3. Shifts around at 2000rpm when fully gunned. As i release my foot, you can feel some of the power kick in just a little & then slows down. I dont know whats the issue. No clue if i need to get it tune.. have installed rebuilt 317 heads, long tube headers & maf sensor.
and tow haul button dont work. Orange wire is good, no cuts/slits.
please help thank you.

It sounds like you have a K&N air filter in there, also. Am I correct?

The K&N is the source of your problem. It's common for this engine and the source of pure evil, sewn from silk made of the devil's own body and soul.

The first step to fixing your problem is to get rid of the filter. (Going back to a paper filter will be a kind thing to do for your truck.)

Then, you will need to get a can of MAF cleaner and spray down the elements on your MAF to clean off the K&N oil residue that has built up. (The MAF is unable to burn this off, unlike normal contaminants.) This residue is giving a false air flow reading to your PCM and causing it to cut fuel to the engine, causing the symptoms you feel at the pedal.

You may have to perform multiple treatments. I recommend getting a magnifying glass and looking at the elements before and after. You should see black deposits on them before. Once they are clean, the wires should look like clean metal.

Mine was so bad, I had to take my MAF apart and clean it with a Q-Tip and the cleaner, but usually people don't need to do that. Taking apart the MAF is also not recommended as the wires are extremely fragile and one slip can destroy the whole thing.
