Default How do I take debris out of gas tank ?

Long story short ... installed new fuel pump with electical tape for the wire connections

Of course the gas dissolved the tape into little pieces and now they are at the bottom of my gas tank. How can I get rid of them. I put latex gloves on and tried to fish them out but my hands started to burn and I was getting nausy.

Any help is appreciated

First, why did you use E-tape? Bad idea.
Take the tank out and flush it with water/isopropyl alcohol and insert an air hose in one hole afterwards. That will dry it out and prevent any corrosion.

anyway to do it without dropping the tank ? I have an access hole at the top. I suppose a dry/wet vacuum would be a bad idea ?

Can it blow ?

Do the right thing this time and drop the tank. That way you'll know FOR SURE you got everything out of there. You also might want to change your fuel filter at this time too.
