(HELP) Having 2 issues Engine knock or Tick and Idle
Hi Guys I'm New and could use some of your advice first off I'm having an idle issue after car runs about a minute or so it starts to bogging down and makes a sucking sound like it's not getting enough air.Code is for MAF sensor so I changed it same issue now I'm leaning towards IAC sensor ordered one and waiting on it now but would like some advice for someone who's had similar problem... I will post a video of it running PROBLEM #2 knocking or Tick and what could it be... Engine is a LM7 with 243 heads...Stage 2 Sloppy Cam....Headers.... looking forward to upgrading parts but would like for it to Run a little better before trying to spend more money so Thanks in advance for any advice.....https://youtu.be/4e2ENNYXOlc.....
It's been tuned for stock basic deletes but I haven't been proformance tuned yet...could that solve the idle issue is it from the Cam and I'm going to pull the head off on that side this weekend... That's if it doesn't rain
The tick could be from not having the correct size pushrods.

If you were able to push it down, then the spring is bad. If it just moves side to side, then it might be ok. A little side to side movement is normal with some effort. It's shouldn't be really loose or easy to move.
You definitely need a tune for the cam. Fix the mechanical issue first, though.

I'm going to just pull and do Rod bearings and lifters because I feel if I just do lifters the bottom might still knock. Was so close to the end...🤬😭😩... Enough crying....LETS GET ER DONE.... Thanks Guys for the helpful Info... when I open the bottom I'll post pics of bearings
That's not a bad spring. I was thinking you were pushing the other side of the rocker arm. It looks like your push rod is too short. First, make sure the rocker arm is sitting all the way down on the rocker stand. Then, make sure the rocker arm bolt is tight. If those two things check out good, then you probably need a longer push rod. Summit sells push rod checker tools. That would be a good way to ensure you get the correct length push rod.
