Talking spoiler / hood

hi

I am considering doing an SS mod to my Z28. Can I replace the stock hood / spoiler with their SS counterparts without any modification? also does anyone have any idea how to remove badges for replacement? other than that I should be alright since the modding from there is internal. thanks,.

brad

ps also does anyone here run an SLP "ultra Z"? I enjoy the hood and am wondering if there's anyone with comments on it. the Ultra Z mod, not the hood.

If you get the OE SS hood and spoiler they should bolt right up. So no, there are no mods required. But, the OE peices aren't cheap, neither is a good paint job. I don't know how hard Sebring Silver is to match (probably not easy, if even possible) so figure on the shop having to blend it and that will cost more.

You can use heat to remove badges (done it to dealer emblems often), leave the car in the sun or use a hair dryer. I beleive some people use floss to cut the softened glue and WD40 to remove any remaining glue. Be careful not to scratch, then wash and wax well.
