Default Which Clutch?

Hello all. My stock clutch is just about ready to go in my '02 Z28 and I'm looking to install a SPEC 3 or 4 clutch. I've been getting recommendations for both and need some advice on which one to go with. This car is a daily driver and is often times driven in heavy traffic conditions. So with that in mind, which clutch would be a better choice?

Dude, with your mods a Stage II will be more than enough. You have nothing that would require such overkill as a Stage III or Stage IV. You should also look into a Z06 clutch since your car is daily driven. Now go get some mods!

stage 3 should hold you well into 450-500, there are guys runnin 450hp w/s3 clutches that like them just fine. all depends how bad you're gonna tear her up. with your mods you don't need a stage 4.

dude just get a stage 2 or hell even a stage 1, it should be good for up to 400 hp, plus you'll save yourself the trouble of having to update your master and slave and the hydrolics. plus if it's a daily driver such over kill wont be to confortable.

With the mods you have I would also have to say ZO6.
Unless you go to the track alot the Zo6 is plenty.

I was looking at the Stage 3 or 4 because I plan on doing a cam and NOS install sometime in the next four months (whenever I have enough dough) and I wouldn't want to have to change out the clutch again. Would there be any harm in having the Stage 3 or 4 with my current set-up?

Also, along with the clutch slipping badly I'm hearing this strange whirring/squeeling noise when I press the clutch in. I've been told this is a throwout bearing or a pilot bearing. Are these bearings included with the SPEC package or will I have to pick them up separately?

I do not see where it would hurt.
Better to have enough than not enough i think.
I have been running the Zo6 for about 10,000 miles with a B-1 an LTS an
all bolt on's 390 rwhp 377 tq
No track use.

stage 3 is plenty. stage 4 is a little much. but hey, i know guys runnin the mcleoud twin disk and they love it to death(its the death grip clutch from hell, great grab). with nos and stuff, stage 3 will be plenty.

your hydraulics will need to be upgraded on anything over a z06. many people upgrade their hydraulics on their first clutch upgrade just b/c they're already up in there. whatever works for you.

most clutch kits come with throwout bearings, yes.
