We have dynoed a few Mach 1's in the past and they put down mid to high 280RW with just a couple of bolt-ons(exhaust, induction). Not too bad. I haven't had a chance to race one yet, but then again we have a few running around here that are running 11's with nitrous.

i could beat one with my 10 speed bike. is that ignorant enough? there was a yellow one running around here the other night, looked/sounded good. he kept driving by some of us that were talking, revving a little, so we went after him. when we caught him, he just drove normal and turned off.????oh well.

I thought some of the ls1's were dynoing over 300 to the wheels. I drove a Mach bone stock and it felt good but when my car was stock it still felt stronger and faster. The Mach is still a great buy for low to mid $20s. I would have to give the edge to the SS if it's a late 01 or 02. They seem to run a little bit better that the earlier ones.

stock:stock = drivers race
mod:mod = still close drivers race, with edge to LS1, Machs take VERY well to mods as well. I put down 305/321 with just longtubes/hpipe/mufflers in the stock catback, and a cai.

Machs are lighter than LS1s. They are smaller and have fiberglass hoods and trunk decks. Stock for stock, mod for mod, its a drivers race. Both cars take mods well. Now, blower for blower and we better watch out. A simple 7psi kit will give those things like 55-60% and give them much more bottom end to mid. My parents nieghbor has a Mach1 with headers catted H and cat-back. I'm gonna call him out.

The '03 Cobras are heavy. With the IRS, iron block and blower they tip scales hard.

Compared to Machs or GTs, they are heavy.

Ive got nothing but respect for the Mach's!
BUT
Id love to race one, I might not win, then again, I might not lose. I think it would be a good race, and I look foward to lining up against one. Yet if I had to choose who would win between a Mach, and a LS1... Id go LS1 all the way. (refer to sig at bottom)

I have an 02 z28 and my friend has an 99 t/a both autos and we race our friends mach all the time. I havent raced raced him stock for stock but my friends t/a has and beat him pretty good. I raced him a few times and he got me a little but he has several mods more than i did. However they have no chance from a 60 roll. I raced him w/ lid and catback and it wasnt a problem.

Since I added the headers and tires theres no chance Got him well over a car out of the hole and he let off because of another car coming but i could tell it was over.

i agree. knew a guy who was dynod at around 280 and he was running very low 13's, but a very good shifter, power shifted through every gear. i think 1/4 is very close, but after that we would pull

I lined up with a Mach 1 owned by a friend of a friend 5 times one night with my TA. Pretty much the same mods as his only had CAI and catback as well (I think he said something about the computer as well, but it didn't stick in my mind)

In the end, it was a wash. 4 of the 5 races were virtually neck and neck all the way to 100, one of them, I fudged my 2-3 shift and lost a noselength. In the end, we all agreed that the cars (and the drivers) were pretty evenly matched.

First off, I'm not biased because both are top dogs(n/a) in my book.

I disagree, because we've all seen with just some tire that ls1's are right in the mid-high 12's(mid being 12.70's). Mach's with tire are low 13's and maybe a high 12. Now factor in the gearing, 4.10's for both and The slight edge is still for the ls1
