yeah as if our cars are governed at 100mph but theirs can go 200 before shutting down so they caught us because we were topped out

man, what do you want out of an n/a 4-banger? it's in the same class as a cavalier.

and a Mach 1 with 281 cubes is making almost the same power as an LS1 with 349 ci. that's not good?

those who build up their LS1 for forced induction, thus lowering the compression down to 8.5:1 or so, have dynoed 230-240 rwhp right?

You gotta shut down that flybye before they can finish it. Do that, and they take the next available exit, tail between their legs.

I hate the stupid Flasher thing too, I think it originally had a valid purpose though, until it was blown up by idiots. When your at street races, you know they type where it is planned and there's a shitload of spectators, they use the flashers to let everyone know who won the race, since people usually cant see that far down the road especially at night.

But now all the idiots do it cuz they are

I even say someone do it at the dragway once

ever noticed how hondas have that huge *** button in the middle of the dash for the flashers?? i think one day , long ago, a ricer in an 89 hatchback got excited after outrunning a golf cart, started slapping the dash, and thus, the fad, was born.

13’s?! Thats an impressive of an 1/8th mile time for a focus.

Any way its off topic but I have a ricer story you might find fun, sad, or otherwise.

I'VE DONE THAT! Last time I was at the track (shitty, humid/foggy night), I went up against some riced out Eclipse. Well, after the 1/4 mile marker I hit the flashers just to **** him off.

Next time I go to the track and run against a ricer, I'm gonna flip the hazards on and have them on the whole way down the track.

Flashers is old school from empty roads where people went to race.
It showed the people at the starting line who won from a distance.

The econorice do it to be cool. Thats why you tell them off the line to xx miles per hour. That way that *** knows who really won.

HHAHAAAA
atleast not here on earth with our atmospheric pressure....maybe somewhere else....

Might see a realistic 5-7% loss in power dropping that compression at most.

Which on a 320rwhp car would still be ~20 or less hp lost N/A

BTW Stock LS1's are not 349 cubes

I actually don't hate the SVT Focus. Slow, yes. But I would rather have that over an RSX, a GTI, etc. It is cheaper, just as fast and handles better.

But it obviously sucks when ricers drive them :
