Need some help with shifts. Got my 3.73's in and went to the 1/8 mile track. My first time at the track, with a stock car and a cutout, I ran 8.9 with a 2.0 60'. This last time I went I ran 8.7 with a 1.9 60'. This run was with the cutout, lid, and gears. I'm on shitty street tires, but still hook up decent. I'm launching from idle also, so that helps. Car has a lot up top, but needs help getting there.
Anyhow, I only made that one pass with the gears and the car shifted from 1st to 2nd at 5400ish RPM's....major bog when it went into 2nd gear. I did spin a little on my launch, but not bad. If I didn't spin would it have shifted at 6000 rpm's? I don't want to change my shift point, then hook up really well and bump the limiter before shifting. Should I change the shift point? If so, to what?
