Question Help Starting My Project

OK...I want to get a gameplan before I start modding. I think that its better to have a goal than to go into it blindly. The mods I plan to make: heads and cam, TB, pulleys, manifold, headers. I know a little, but not afraid to admit I don't know alot and I need help. I would like to get a heads and cam package together...what companys do you receommend? SLP's package runs around $2595 which is a chunk of change...If there is a company that offers the same package for less with the same performance let me know. SInce this is a chunk of change, I considered starting with the small stuff first. What do you recommend as a good starting point...the TB, the pulleys...in other words...I need some good advice Thanks in advance.

sig

and to add what type of project is this, you didnt specify any fundamentals:

1) daily driver or track car
2) any emissions concerns
3) what your access to tuning
4) what type of powerband are you looking for
5) ect.

oh, and forget SLP.

There are alot of options out there as far as h/c packages are concerned! We offer complete outright packages starting at 1799 with 5.3l stage 2 heads!! Definately get all the bolt ons first, they're much easier to pay for

you're on the right path here, going into it with a plan instead of just throwin **** together and goin on hopes and dreams. get all the bolt-ons, as they're more wallet friendly. then head into a head/cam swap. those are money....anyone will tell you that. texas speed and performance is definitely a good shop to talk to. so are most others to your right --> do some research and figure out who has the right cam for your needs and talk to them about it.
