Egr?
#3
Well after diconnecting it and waiting for it to throw code, came to find out that it will not let you delete it until u reconnect so if it throw a code during racing it will be bad. ONE more question? what if I block of the egr opening on the exhaust manifold and live the tube sucking normal air. would it throw a code of any kind. I don't believe it can throw a code if it is still connected and is still sucking air, but would it create a intake leak type of deal? has anyone done this

Let's say you're just driving along... cruising or whatnot and the EGR valve is closed. Then a few minutes later all the conditions are met so the EGR valve is opened. That will be a huge a vacuum leak and you'll lean out a lot at that point. The computer will sense this since it is closed loop by now and begin adjusting the fuel trim. Then a few minutes later you might speed up or slow down causing the EGR to stop and then the PCM will be like and start going the other way. It's just plain not good for performance... especially unfiltered air as well.
A better bet is to use a block off plate if you still need to keep the EGR there... then everything will be sealed, and the engine will be happy. If you can't remove it entirely then blocking it off is the next best thing. Good luck
