WS6 here. I've also got an '03 2500HD with a 6.0 in it. It towed my WS6 2000 miles to and from this years PE130 with no problems at all. Great truck

 

Didn't the 98 and 99 SS have their own model, and then when GM realized it was redundent then brought it back to the old way?

Plus isn't it SS == Firehawk and WS6 is kinda midrange between the Firehawk and regular Trans Am or Formula? (but was a factory option... so should be included together, whereas the SS and Firehawk were sent to SLP to have finished ... though the WS6 was ACSD or something right? bah I like it how it is )

 

Have a z28 but wanted a ws6 so i opted for the ram air 2 hood so i could look kinda like a ws6. I couldnt beat the price on the z tho.

I drive a 2003 Chevy Truck with the 5.3L engine which as I understand it is an LS1 variant called the LM7. I also drive a 2002 Pontiac Firehawk Trans-AM.

On a related note some Ford guy was making fun of GM vehicles with the LS1 engine in them. Talking about the piston slap.

I told him that it may make that noise. But for that engine it's normal and I'd run against his Ford anytime.

 

I wanted a 'hawk and bought a z for the same reason. You just can't beat the price of a Z. Fully loaded Z for less than a stripped T/A or Formula.
