muffler alright guys i cant take the fact that my exhaust is so quiet but i dont want to waste money with a cat back because next summer when i get some money saved up i want to do hooker LT's and true duals. so my buddy gave me a borla XR1 muffler that he had but never installed on his firebird a few years back. hears my question.....since i dont want to waste any money how do you think it would sound if i just replaced the stock muffler and left the stock pipes until i did the my full exhaust system next summer.....i did a search and couldnt find anything about this so sorry if its a repost...thanks in advance.
I'm guessing it would sound similar to a Loud Mouth or the like. Since it will be all straight pipes with a bullet muffler. I think it would probably be okay, it will be loud, so if you want loud that will do it until next summer. Good luck

Would basically be a Borlamouth. Should sound pretty good.
You have the XR-1, which is a bullet, correct? You could put it in the I-pipe and fab up some pipes where your muffler was or just cut it off at the over-axle point and leave it coming out under the car. To have the exhaust exit out the back you would have to do something to complete the system where the stock muffler was.
