help, ported TB install, idle HIGH: wrong TB cam for my car?
I am searching as we speak, but I don't remember seeing anything about this specifically when I was seraching on stuff to get ready for the TB swap and I kinda need to get the car running ASAP I am suppose to be somewhere with it RIGHT NOW.
I installed my TSP ported TB and the throttle cable pulls the butterfly open quite a ways. I noticed the problem as soon as I hooked up the cable. As one would expect, it revs to the moon when I turn the key. I shut it off at like 5k rpm. What could cause this? Something I did? SOmething I can fix? TB from a different year? Help please!

The throttle blade is being held open. The cable is pretty taught, as taught is it normally is/should be. If i pull down on the thing the cable connects to (the TB cam I think it is) i can pull it down to where it should be.

Okay, I might have figured out the problem. Now that I actually looked and paid attention, the throttle body cam (i'm prett sure ti's the cam) is different. I am guessing the cam on the one I got is from a newer car (larger) than mine (mine's a 98)
The larger cam is what's causing the apparent difference in the cable length. Did TSP send me a newer TB when I have to have a 98 (or i think 99) TB so the cam is the same size? Or is there some way to adust it??
