Ricer Turned Muscle...
I suppose i used to be a ricer but have now made the change over to a real car lol. I have just recently picked up a 99 C5 Hardtop Vette and i'm looking to do some mods. My only real problem is that "I DON'T KNOW SHEEEEEET ABOUT MOTORS." Yes i know its sad but everyone has to start somewere right? Well here i am starting and i'm looking for some reading material that will basically break down the LS1 Barney Style if you know what i mean. I'm surrounded by friends who own F-Bodys but due to time constraints..."i'm gone tons thanks to military"....i don't get to have as much under the hood time as i want. So if anyone can help me don't be shy give me a shout as i would appreciate it. Thanx

The first mods are usually intake and exhaust.
To learn all you can.. just go to the different sections of this site that interest you and read the FAQ posts at the top of the page..

Naw, dude. No shame in not knowing much. I suggest that you invest in a comprehensive automotive/engine book. I read this huge tome of a big auto book almost daily in my co-op class. Honestly, between my dad, that is where I learned all about cars.

H22 in a del slow, not a bad little crx you had there. I used to have a 91 rex with a zc. I always loved camaros, but never could afford the payments. When I finally got a real job I jumped on the opportunity to get rid of my rex and buy a real car. Welcome to the board, and congrats on a great purchase. Just for ***** and giggles I have some old pics of my crx in my link on my sig...if your interested.

Del Sol w/ Prelude motor sounds good.
Ricer bodyworks sounds bad.
Welcome to RWD, torque filled fun my friend. Please respect your car in the rain. As far as intake/exhaust for C5's. I've heard good things about Vararam and Borla stingers.
