PCM resets every time I start the car!
When I first got my Camaro, it was doing fine, and still is besides this issue.
I've noticed that almost every time I start my car, the gauges all swipe, and the trip counter has been reset to 0.
Has anyone had this problem? I'm not sure what is causing it.

Every darn morning i get in it mine does it ... mine is a 99 also.
I found out by talking to folks on the board that it is common with the 99's.
I guess we are just stuck with it because buying another cluster for a 99 will probably do the same thing eventually.
I have noticed as well as others that it does it worst when the weather is cold. When it was hot mine didnt do it.
I dont think its hurting anything unless you reall need the tripmeter.

I always hear how after doing mods, you are supposed to reset the PCM, and then drive around for a while so the car can re-learn itself.
Since our cars constantly reset, does this mean we are running in some sort of, 'learn' mode most of the time? I hope that doesn't hurt performance.
