Question traction control

I have a 2000 Buick Lesebra. IT has traction control. To turn off the book says a button on shift handle. It has no button, boys at service center stumped. Does anyone know how to disengage?

are you sure it has it? my Formula has the option from the factory to have it, but its not an option that was selected. if you look at my dash, there is a light for it, but it is never lite, due to the fact that i dont have it. and if i look in my owners manual it will talk about it as well

I'm thinking along the same lines as 99Forumula. If there is no button there, then it's a STRONG possibility that the option was not installed on your car. The users manual probably even says something along the lines of "If this vehicle is equiped w/ traction control, then you'll find a button here X" Just a thought.

When in heavy snow, If you attempt to spin the tires fast the engine will idle down for a second and then back up. It will do this till the tires stop spinning.
From everything I read this is traction control. How do I turn it off no button
