I'm not bashing the LS1's.... I'm simply sayings its "expensive" to mod these cars.... I have done plenty of 68 and 69 Camaros that were once mine and cams, exhaust, and other parts were not as costly as these.... All I'm saying is that when I get to the cam swap and exhaust swap on my SS its gonna be costly.....

Most old Pontiac guys will complain that Pontiac parts are so much more expensive than anything SBC related. That's what I thought until I got my LS1 car. I bought it so I would have something modern and fast to drive on a daily basis while I continued to concentrate on my GTOs. Well, then I need to change gears, and then I just had to have a GMMG, and then I bought a converter/cooler/shift kit for the tranny and now I'm saving to have that installed. Then there's SFC's, Nittos, headers, cam ... Where will it end?? And when will I ever have the money to paint my Goat??

You need to just study, wait, and study more and by all mean make out a plan, you can allways change it. Try to visit the shops alot and the ls1edit tuners that have done 1000s of cars for shops is the best choice for info:then wait for ported heads. I waited 2 years before cam and heads stage 1 heads new were $850 from richard at west coast heads or pro-heads.com The cam and fast intake 78mm and t.b. Was easy as i have family at comp. just get all the new bolts and gaskets, port your oil pump. Theres a lot of bolt on parts you can get though the year that are cheap, now seems like the best time to buy, because tons of people are going back to stock. My 02

I love my Goats - the 69 GTO is one of the most beautiful cars ever built in my opinion - and they both are in good condition, though short of show car quality. But neither the Judge w/400 or the automatic w/428 will run in the low 13's with my LS1.

IMO - In my opinion.
SLP - just that SLP parts (Street Legal Performance)
BBK 80 TB - BBK 80MM Throttlebody I'm assuming.
GMAF - Granatelli Mass Aif Flow Sensor
