There seems to be all sorts of opinions about this. I was wanting someone to step up that really knew the answer to inform me. Guess that's not you--------JACKASS!
You're the one that blew it all out of proportion my friend. Lighten up.

Where did I say anything about the search button?

...and yes, I knew the answer to your question.

****, tell that to some of the people in that patriot thread

- SSCoulter: Mike K had his 408 on an engine dyno and chassis dyno, the difference between the two was 92hp if i recall. try searching or PM'ing him for specifics but i believe it was the stock drive train (t56, 10 bolt, and 3.42's)

I answered.

My last dyno I put down 308hp and it was 98 degrees and very humid in that shop last July. So where am I?
308*.15 = 46.2
308 + 46.2 = 354.2

I said 350-360fwhp. I gave him a few extra ponies.

unit213, sorry man. Really, I've had way to much to drink. I got you confused with that other post about the ricers. I take full responsibility for being the Jackass here. My humble apologies.

Nope, in fact I think I'm still drunk. My hang over should be here in just a few minutes.

Based off of the 15% loss "estimate", the actual calculation to get flywheel HP would be RWHP / .85 = FWHP. So for SSCoulter 308 / .85 = 362.

Even so, as we all well know, no two "identical" cars are exactly the same. The only real way to know your FWHP is to remove the engine and dyno it alone.

That's why I asked the question in the first place. Everyone has a opinion, I wanted the facts. That is if anyone really knew. I think my answer is it only matters what you are putting to the wheels and the only way to know for sure on the flywheel numbers is to pull the motor. That should do it. Thanks again.

I'm going to nurse my hangover some more now.
