Insurance Question First timer here.
I'm looking to buy a 98 a4 z28 and I'm wondering what insurance will cost me.
I'm a 20 year old male with NO traffic violations whatsoever. Driving lessons. I've had my license for about 3 years.
Any guesstimates?

I'm paying $89 a month for my 95 Formula, but I'm also 33 and married with a perfect record, and all my insurance in one place, so that reduces my rates quite a bit.
Where in Mississauga are you? I live near the 401 and Mississauga Road.

Re: Insurance Question Not sure about it with no tickets. You can get a vin # off one you like and call your insurance place and ask them about it. When I was 21 (with one ticket) I was looking at a '93 Z28 and found out it would run me $318 a month. So as you might guess I had to give that idea up pretty damn fast.

Re: Insurance Question I have a 98Z28 m6 I just got married I'm 25 and mine is now about 80$ a month. When I was 21 my insurance was about 1500 to 1600 a year. Always check before buying. You can lower you ins by raising your deductible to like 500 instead of 250. I bought mine and loved the car so much I didn't care what ins cost but it wasn't that bad.

Re: Insurance Question well... I pay 750/year for full coverage, however that's because the car is in my dads name for now, and I am insured as the primary driver for my beater car (TA is recreational ).
However, I've looked into insurance and seems it varies significantly. I'm 22 w/1 ticket on record from 2 years ago. I've found places that will insure me for 2500/year provided I have both my beater and my TA. However, next year I'm buying a new truck, so insruance jumps up to 4000-6000 /year then <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Best bet is if you can get your parents to put it under their name. Also check out places like geico and such (where you can get online quotes) as insurance will vary based on your local .

Re: Insurance Question I was in the same boat when I bought my SS. I am 22, and have no tickets or accidents on my record (gotta love traffic school <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ).
Anyways, my insurance is only around $450 for 6 months. The car is in my name, but it helps to be on your parents policy until you're 25. I think thats the age when the prices really drop. Just make sure to call around before you buy, so you don't get any surprises. BTW, I'm insured with Mercury.
