The LT4 only came in a extremely limited amount of 97 SS's. The LT4 came in 96 Corvettes with a 6sp only. It was in every Grand Sport and made specifically for that car. Great motor too! It was underrated by GM at 330hp so as to not out shine the new for 97 LS1. The true rating for that motor was north of 350hp. Go check out LT4.com

LT5 was a great engine, but not too many people are proficient at working on it. As I mentioned in my other post, I've driven a ZR1 a few times and it would smoke a stock LS1 and give the LS6 all it could handle.

The LT5 was a great engine. I've been for a ride in a 95 ZR1. The car pulled like no tomorrow. I would have to say the LS6 is very close to the power of the way those LT5's pulled.
