Default di-vinci question

has anyone tried the di vinci programmer. Is it as good as they say or is every programmer the same?

it's much different than all the others. it comes with 7 different programs based on cam and whether or not you have a supercharger. http://www.stealthram.com/vhptuner.htm is a little tutorial i made up for them. when i tuned the wife's car with it, i gained 17 rwhp peak. here's the graph.

One person may prefer it, but a handheld programmer will never replace a well built tuning program.

for one that knows nothing about tuning, it's great. takes care of idle, driveability, and WOT tuning. for those that can understand all those wonderful little tables for every component of the PCM in tuning, then you can do better. by how much, who knows. the edit programs allow you to delete codes make your own changes to all the parameters in every aspect. you can get lost though. just do a search and you'll see. luckily you do have some help around here. but, there is no instructions in any of the editors that tell you what table does what and how the changes you make affect the program.

with the vinci/crane tuner, most of the guess work is already done for you. there were over 28 cars and more than 1000 hours dyno tuning and driveability tuning. you plug in a preset tune and then fine tune from there.
