hmm good questions. Mileage doesnt really matter, I have 107K, still running strong. for years, theres a section that has what came on all different years, im sure someone will show you the way on that. the nice thing about the 98 is its got 28lb injectors, the 99 has a bigger gastank, the 98 has different bolts on the valve covers, the 98s dont have the black box... so on. Id pick the SS, just cause its a SS and the TAs just a reg TA and not a WS6.
do you like the M6 or A4 better?? do u like the look of a camaro or firebird better?? which colors do you like?? They are both great cars, but I think id pick the SS.

I'd say SS. The only way I would get a 98 is if I could afford a major motor build up. You'll have more fun with the 6 speed too, I did. Then I got old and traded up for an A4.

If it was me personally I'd go with the TA without thinking about it. It's black, it's a TA, and it's an A4. I'm not a huge fan of red, I like Firebirds more then Camaros, and I love automatics. But that's just me. Everyone has their own opinion. Go with which one you like more. But no the miles and years don't matter. If it was a 35k mile difference or one was a '99 and the other was an '02 it would matter, but the difference between 15k miles and one year on cars that are in excess of 50k miles and over 5 years old wont make a difference.

Which one do you like better?

Ones an A4 and the other is a M6.
Both are pretty much the same car. Drive each and find which one fits you best

If I was chosing between the two I would get the SS. If the TA was a WS6 I might go with it. I like the M6 better so that is a plus for the SS to. Which are you leaning towards?

Good luck

I'm a huge T/A guy, but I would say go with the SS. The m6 will be more fun. The SS is limited edition, the T/A isn't. I would definetely say SS!

Update... the day i posted this i put 100 dollars down on the T/A got offered a 6.99 % rate no down payment for total of 10,000. pretty good since im 20 and have no credit....But i had a lot of bills over my head so i decided it was best to wait anoter couple months and i never got the car

But im gonna go back and see if the T/A is still there....i think the SS may be gone. Btw the T/A had some mods to know, unbeknownst to the dealer
Im new to this so im not sure what it had.

First of all it, it has a windshiled banner that read "New England F-Body". Second of all, sounded 10X meaner than the Camaro. When i looked through the bumper "nostrils" i saw "SLP" im assuming meaning an SLP lid. And when i looked at the exhaust, it appeared to have stopped about about maybe 2 or so feet short of the rear bumper

What kind of mods is that? And is this smog legal with this exhaust?? I thought it was rule that all dealers cars must be able to pass inspection.

Thanks

oh btw i found a few LT1's... a white 95 A4 Trans Am 95K miles cloth interior for $5,500.....also found a 96 Formula WS6 with 88,000 miles for $7,800

How do they look? Wats better??

95 A4 $5,500

96 Fomula WS6 $7,800

Anybody run a vin check to see if the WS6 is an A4 or M6? Thanks

if the exhaust stopped at the rear axle, he had duals...which means he most likely had headers...which means it was run harder than the other car. and no it is not legal if you have emissions since theres no cats.

are you sure the ss was a true ss? the spoiler doesnt look like a SS spoiler to me...

I think the biggest and hardest thing to do in a situation like yours is to 'be patient'. I know because I was in the same place about 2yrs ago. I was 18 and had no car, i sold my previous v6 camaro w/ salvage title, so for about 8-10 months I was carless and it was the worst feeling in the world. Having to get picked up by friends and bumming rides all over the place.. it sucked!

I was the pickiest person in the world too. I wanted a camaro soo bad and it had to be an 'ss' for some reason. I just wanted the hood, the spoiler, the badges, I really wanted to satisfy myself knowing I had my dream car. I ended up buying my 98' SS w/ 26,010 miles on the odometer for $12,500 and the car was in mint condition. Paint was flawless, bone stock (but it had been run hard on occasion, i cant blame them tho), leather, t-tops, 6spd, etc. etc.

Anyways, I suggest you try and hold off as long as you possibly can take it and just search long and hard day and nite for what you want and in your price range. It'll pay off. Im sure you can get an LS1 with way lower miles that 80K for that price.

well thats my story.. and suggestion. hope that didnt bore you too bad. you still awake!?!? hello!?!?

That 95 is a 25th anniversary FYI. Something to think about there. And that WS6 looks mean. wats the interior look like on that 1?

PS 6 speed is fun

99formulaws6- im with you that don't look like an SS spoiler to me either. But as far as your comment about the duals. Not necessarily true, methinks it could also be turndowns, which are by the way IMO

Crap i just confused myself, sure that isn't a 94? 95 is NOT anniversary edition
