correct detonation not pre ignition i had detonation in my car for month now wich is a second spontaneous ignition of burnt gases, iam nto sure how it all works look up the wirte up in the tech section is called ignition timing 101 or something like that J-rod wrote it.

I can't see how being "tuned" gave you performance yet allows you to run 87. I'm tuned also, its leaner and more advanced at wot, I'd need a new motor if i tried out the cow ****. Basically what bad andy said, run premium or buy and economy car
