Default Next Mod Choice

OK guys need some help deciding what to get next. This is what I have. Lid, K&N, FRA, TB Bypass, MSD 8.5s/TR55, SLP Y and LM exaust, Rotor's/Hawks, 315/35/17's. I was thinking about getting some Pacesetter headers w/ ORY, but also heard you usually need a tune after LT's so I was then thinking HPtuners. However, I am in the military/going to college/have 7 mo. old boy. From what I have read, HPtuners seems to be a time-sink. So the qustion is, headers, hptuners, or diablo. If I go headers, I will also get another muffler to replace the resonator. Need some help!

Headers should be your next mod, you also cant got wrong with the pacesetters and ORY. Great product for the money. As far as tunning goes read jrp's sticky. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139142
And from what I have read HPTuners is not that time consuming (but I could be wrong)

i doubt you will need a tune after headers, but it will net you more power....
if you feal that headers will be the end of power mods id get a tune and call it done.... if you have cam, heads, etc planned for later just drive it un-tuned for a while.

good luck.

You don't need a tune after headers. If you're going to run an ORY though, you will throw a code for the rear 02 sensors. It's not a big deal if you don't have emissions anytime soon. I would also say go for the headers.

IMO I would skip the ORY and get True Duals to go with some headers. The sound can't be beat. I had a bad experience with a ORY.

Oh yea, and I have a 2005 Tahoe and was wondering if HPtuners might be a better mod per dollar ratio. 2 vehicles running better for 500 or headers for the TA?

if youre in a place where you can get away with it, go headers with duals. the pacesetter ORY bangs the floorboard sometimes after dropdown at WOT and that pulls timing with the knock retard kicking in.

I have the TSP ORY, I feel that its an hell of a deal due to the price. The fitment was pretty good, had to wrestle with it for a while before everything lined up good. But overall I have had no problems with it yet. If I were you though I would get the true duals like 2MuchRice said.
