Buying an ls1 with 90k miles... asking for problems?
I know my fair share about these cars....a friend (dmnspd)had one that he got with 8x thousand miles and had it till 100,000 or just about and it ran great...another friend has a cam/exhaust one with 87k on it and runs great...cept for the bust 10 bolt ...anyways, there is a kinda local dealer that has a 98 black ss with 90k miles on it....am I just asking for problems with a higher mile ls1 or what? I mean, yes cars get old and things need to be replaced cause of normal wear, but what should I be looking out for, I dont want to buy a car then end up replacing a bunch of stuff

i bought my 99z convertible for 12,000 and it had 88,500 mi.. I think it was well worth the money. As far as maintnaince I haven't had to do much, except the tranny was blown when i bought it(warranty item). It runs perfect and have had no issues with the motor.

Damn, 350k, where do you drive? And I thought 210k on a 95 Formula was high. Thats good to know, really good to know that then can last a really long time with proper maintenance.

The '98 had 90k on it when we got it. 9900.00. 129k now(after mods) and still runs like a top. I had to replace the water pump, but that's it. Keeping my fingers crossed. BTW-it's paid off, and now I'm saving for the next-Gen Camaro (Come on GM- make me happy!!!!!).

i paid $7500.00 for my 98 Z with 56k a year ago. I did get a good deal, I've done nothing to it but maintence and drive the **** out of it. Lots of night at the drag strip. I think it has 64K on it now. Needs a clutch thanks to Drag radials.
