Default Ported MAF

Well I was doing the FRA mod and some other things today and got my stock maf all dirty with plastic bits. My friend had a stock tb off his 99 that he ported and said that we could just use that. I would probably have to post pics of it to show you how it is ported. Is it worth it to run those ends or clean up my stock ones?

PS: Do I need to reset my computer to learn the new mods or does it take a while on its own?

If you aren't prepared to tune it (adjust the MAF table)
then don't go there.

Take your screened end off, and blow the plastic out
of it with shop air or use a garden hose, and then put
it back on.

Is it really going to throw it off that bad? I don't have a tuner for my car yet.

Descreen but don't port, as in cut the fin out of, the MAF. It can throw you off that much.

Well it was already descreened. I just went outside and tried to put the stock ones back on but the ported end is stuck in the lid so bad that the lid will break before it comes out. Not sure what to do at this point....
