Ls1????
Austin
BTW are you from clinton MA?
) Anywho, if you wanted 330-350RWHP you'd need a few bolt ons... full exhaust, intake, etc... And as said previously, 98's are not too hard to find for under 10k, with decent miles. The LS1 is a strong motor, and many people are having no problems with 100+K miles on them. So, if you want it... GO FOR IT!!!

330-350 hp at the flywheel?
whats the quickest most efficiant way to get there?
insert key into ignition.... push in clutch...turn key till car starts...... release key... hit gas pedal.... release clutch.... welcome to your goal....

bud the average m6 ls1 puts 305-325 RWHP at sea level....
the m6 drivetrain get about 15% perisitac loss... 350 hp - 15% = 297.5 RWHP
bone stock you will have 350-380 hp at the crank(or flywheel) how bout making your goal something more fun... like 400 RW hp..
For your budget you'll be better off looking at lower mileage Z28's, Formulas or Trans Am's. SS's and WS6's tend to be more expensive and you might have to settle for a high mileage one to get it for 13K or less. I'd rather have a Z28 with low miles then a SS with high miles but that's just me.
Good luck
