Huh? Are you talking about the Intake manifold? If you are, then they are the same if it's mass air or speed density. The 85-87 manifold is different than the 88-92 (I can't remember what - I think it's just the base), and the 85-88 has a provision for a 9th injector (cold start).

If you aren't talking about What DMNSPD, are you asking about Aftermarket Mass Airflow Sensors for TPI cars?

TPI was mass air until 88 or 89 then it was speed density after that.
The base manifold for the F-bods was different in 86 due to the bolt pattern (this excludes the L98 covette heads whose intake bolt pattern never changed). Then after that the new bolt pattern bases either had the 9th injector or the runner on the pass side blocked it off. There's a plug you can buy to close off early runners when not using the 9th injector.

Air Sensors used to make a nice Mass Air system to work with the TPI but they went out of business. Too bad because their computer fit right in the center air vent and allowed you to control the EFI in real time.

MAF = 85-89
SD = 90-92
This is only for thirdgens... not sure about 4ths...

Doesn't matter what years were speed density or not, the manifolds are going to work either-or.

FBDYLVR - 93 was the only year the 4th gen was speed density.
