Performance upgrades under... more
i got 1200 bucks. Is there anyway i can knock around 50-70 horse in this price range. Just burned all my money on my cadillac. So just looking for an easy alternative

i suggest a torque converter, tranny cooler, and a tranny temp gauge.
all installed should be under $1,000
you won't regret it.

I would personally open up her throat and *** first, get a lid, headers and a catback ( or cutout/true duals ), ported TB. Finally drop some Nitrous in her and you'll have some NICE numbers. I do agree with a TC tho, but I personally would wait until after the basic bolt-ons.

Naturally, I am going to say converter. However, consider that with our current Group Purchase, you could get a converter and cooler shipped for just under $450. That leaves you with $750 left over to get a lid, catback, and have the converter installed. The install is time consuming, but not completely formidable, so keep the possibility of doing it yourself open.
While a converter will not net HP gains, people are starting to see half second ET reductions on even cars with very few mods.
