Default Short in the brake light

I have a short in my brake light...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I have replaced the bulbs already but sometimes it works but others it just quits. Any suggestions on how to fix this? It is on the driver side.

If you've done any work to the car or had anyone do any work, I'd start there. For example, if it was at a body shop or paint shop, if you or your mechanic have added anything electrical, if you or some shop has added stereo equipment, etc.

Tracing down electrical shorts can be a pain...I've got one right now involving my turn signal lights. It started happening after installing a gauge, so I at least have a place to start looking...or should I say my mechanic has a place to start looking, because I don't do electrical.
